George Downey presented an assortment of songs, some certainly self-written, at Sonnets Coffeehouse, with Jerry Osborn on 7/24. It was well attended and a splendid time had by all! There will certainly be more to come!

“I listened and loved it. …As you know, I am a die hard rock’n roller but this music worked for me.” – Andy from Portland, ME.

[Concerning To Reach Your Port:] ” It’s fun to hear John’s electric guitar so integrated with the whole song. The thing I really miss when playing alone is hearing a guitar or other instrument weaving into the barer spots.
And what a beautiful song. ” - Don from NH

“What fun, and how soulful. Warms my heart. I particularly liked “To Reach Your Port.” – the lead guitar – wonderful…interesting. It hit me hard, like some notes on some instruments do. Resonated you might say” - Curry

John is in the process of mixing and mastering several new songs for release soon. We have songs recorded in 2004 that will be out on the EP size album, Going Forward. Since 2004 we have continued to record in John’s studio in Denmark, Maine. Those songs are being released on another EP size album entitled Wave the World Goodbye.

The number of songs released and available is growing each week. We currently have two of George’s songs – Lighthouse Now and Always Inside ready and on the site. We also have our cover of Terry Fell’s Truck Drivin Man. We’ve just recently added Chuck’s Watermelon Tales and Return To The Sea just added. This song has nothing to do with Disney’s Little Mermaid – written in the mid 70;s and given a lift with a new arrangement and cool electric 12-string ending. To Reach Your Port has just been released and will be available on this site shortly.
