To Reach Your Port

This is another song of hope amid the craziness of the world.    Confirming there are ways to find our way home, to reach our port…to be who we can be – to find true peace.  The music reflects the tension and joy felt in this continuous, life long pursuit.

Chuck sings lead and plays acoustic guitar,  Steve plays bass and sings backup, George plays acoustic lead guitar and John plays electric lead guitar and sings backup.

To Reach Your Port

A star flickers like the dreams we have and night sounds call for calm.
Sleep beyond me yet there within me and questions now for all.

Where in half dark wander they? The innocent are still.
There to touch a breeze of spring without directing will.

Leading beyond a final goal there may something shine,
Or is this phrase reworked again to complete a game of rhymes?

Here, here calling about, dashing but never caught up.
Unfolding thoughts of overlapping themes still never given up.

Pray come ashore this morning where the free may play
In an ever-blooming sunrise, to reach your port, to stay…
To reach your port to stay…
